Boys & Girls Club Winter Break Camp

Winter Break is only a weeks away! What are your students doing? We would love to have them join us for a fun camp filled with field trips, arts/crafts, games, sports, technology, dance, movies and much more.
Winter Break Camps - Join us December 21,22, 26, 27, 28, 29 for a great camp experience and lots of fun activities.

Sunrise Hours 7:00—9:00 am (Cost is $20 for all 6 days or $5 per member per day)

Winter Day Camp Hours: 9:00—6:00 pm (Cost $50 for all 6 days) or only $25 with written proof of Free or Reduced Lunch waiver from your school district.) Only need one or two days - Daily Rate for 9:00 am – 6:00 pm is $10 per member per day.

Hour of Code

Farwell is joining in on the largest learning event in history: The Hour of Code, during Computer Science Education Week (December 4-10). More than 100 million students worldwide have already tried an Hour of Code. This will be Farwell's fourth year participating! All classes in grades 1-6 will spend their library hour telling the computer what to do using Block Coding!

Dressing for cold weather

Temperatures are getting colder! Please make sure your child is prepared for outdoor recess and waiting at the bus stop or walking to school. A warm coat, hat, and gloves are recommended.

Attention all Volunteers at Farwell

Farwell Volunteers,
Spokane Regional Health District has asked our district to be prepared for a Mumps outbreak. This could affect anyone who shares air apace with our students, including classroom volunteers. Spokane Regional Health District has asked that individuals born after January 1, 1957 verify that they are immune. Here are accepted ways to prove immunity:
1. Provide a copy of Immunization record indicating at least 1 MMR dose for adults
2. Provide titer (blood test) results showing immunity to Mumps
3. Have a MMR booster vaccination (shot)
Please provide the information in a sealed envelope to the front office staff. This will be given to the nurses to verify immunity.

As you start doing spring cleaning and cleaning out closets Kindergarten would love to have any of the following item for our new All Day classrooms next year:
Blocks, dress up clothes, play jewelry, hats, play food, dolls, dollhouses, early learning games, books, cars, plastic outdoor toys, rocking chairs (kid size).. Thank-you!!
